Writing Instructions:
Third Person - Papers must be written in the third person.
Include a Title page, which is not numbered.
Abstract - Papers should have an abstract, which informs the reader of what is to follow in the main text of the paper. The abstract should be written after the paper has been written but it should be placed between the title page and body of the paper.
Main text - The second section of your paper researches the assigned topic. Research efforts should make use of class notes, professional journals, academic texts, and agency documents.
Summary - The last section of your paper will summarize what was presented in the body of the main text. This will serve to reinforce the information presented and provide a smooth ending. Care should be taken not to introduce new information in this section of the paper.
Reference Page – The reference page is presented last (APA style).
Writing style - Use clear and concise wording. Concentrate on quality rather than volume. The length of your paper is to range between 5-6 pages, 12 pt., double-spaced.
Word processing - All papers must be word processed in MS Word and double- spaced throughout the entire document. Please remember to 1) include a Title page and 2) number each page.
Grading – Your paper will be graded on 1) organization, 2) written expression, 3) thematic development and 4) grammar/spelling.
Referencing: Use American Psychological Association (APA) format:
1-inch top, left, right, and bottom margins.
Double-space the body of the paper.
Enclose direct quotations in " " if they are 2 lines or less in length.
Indent and single space quotations if they are 3 lines or longer.
Use table of contents and headings.

You must have a minimum of 4 references. All references cited on the Reference Page must also be cited in the body of the paper.
Plagiarism: Papers are to be submitted to the drop box, which will check for plagiarism.
Packaging your project:
Papers must be submitted in MS Word format, no exception.
